Successful BTME show for Soil Scout
One week on from the close of BTME 2023, Soil Scout CEO Jalmari Talola reflects on a very successful show which generated an unprecedented amount of interest in Soil Scout’s real-time soil monitoring solution.
Jalmari said: “This year we have had an amazing show, for the first time we had a live demonstration on our stand showing how Soil Scout and SubAir Systems integrate together. SubAir’s partner Bernhard & Co. has built a special mobile vacuum demonstration unit that allows excess moisture to be pulled through the soil profile. The SubAir system also gives you the ability to pressurise the rootzone to maintain soil temperature and moisture. Using our special ten-second sensors, visitors were able to observe real-time data on the Soil Scout Hub as moisture levels varied up and down as the vacuum removed excess water from the profile, it was a real wow factor!
“It was three fantastic days and a great opportunity to meet up with our customers, partners and prospects, we’ve had so many good conversations and I really can’t wait to see where some of them lead to in the next few weeks ahead.”
Soil Scout’s Sales & Sports Turf Specialist Nick Durkin added: “It was the second year that we have exhibited at the show and by far our most enjoyable too. It was great to take leads and have conversations with golf course and sports turf professionals from every corner of Europe. We spoke to visitors from the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Hungary, Slovenia, Spain and Finland.
“There’s no doubt it was our most successful show to date and it was also great to see visitor numbers appearing to be back to pre-COVID pandemic levels. A huge well done to all at BIGGA involved for organising the event.”
It's a busy time for both Jalmari and Nick as next week they head off to Orlando, Florida and join their Soil Scout US colleagues Clint Payne and Christian Walter at the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show (GIS). If you are there be sure to say hello to the team, you will find them supporting SubAir Systems on booth number 2641.
