Graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in IT, this appointment at Soil Scout is Trung’s first position of employment.

Trung commented: “I am really excited to join the Soil Scout team, the role incorporates everything that I have studied at university and I am very much looking forward to putting into practice the skills and techniques that I have learned in my studies into real life situations.

“I would like to learn as much as possible and work closely with every step in the production process from designing printed circuit boards, writing code to a final product manufacture.

“I really enjoy working with devices such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi and in my spare time I enjoy developing with Linux operating systems and keeping fit and healthy.”

Soil Scout’s Chief Technology Officer, Jussi Sirkiä said of the new appointment: “We are delighted to be strengthening our in-house production and development capabilities. In a light and efficient company such as Soil Scout everyone gets to help do everything, so Trung’s duties will also include helping out with every-day operations in our production such as moulding Scout Sensors to packing and shipping. We are pleased that he has extensive experience and knowledge on Linux based systems and he has shown already how much of a keen learner he is, becoming almost immediately familiar with our products and systems.”

Jalmari Talola, Soil Scout’s CEO added: “The embedded software is a core part of the Soil Scout solution. Our unique technology is developed to work in extreme environments for years and this sets high expectations for our team to develop state-of-the-art code.”
