Soil Scout appoints Trung Dang to Embedded Software Developer
Soil Scout Oy are pleased to announce the appointment of Trung Dang to the position of Embedded Software Developer. 31 year-old Trung joins the R&D team in Kaarina, Finland and will provide much-needed production support and development.
Trung originates from Vietnam and started to take interest in a career in information technology at the age of 25. Curious by how devices work, Trung chose to study to be an embedded software developer and studied at Turku University of Applied Sciences. Graduating with a Bachelor of Engineering in IT, this appointment at Soil Scout is Trung’s first position of employment.
Trung commented: “I am really excited to join the Soil Scout team, the role incorporates everything that I have studied at university and I am very much looking forward to putting into practice the skills and techniques that I have learned in my studies into real life situations.
“I would like to learn as much as possible and work closely with every step in the production process from designing printed circuit boards, writing code to a final product manufacture.
“I really enjoy working with devices such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi and in my spare time I enjoy developing with Linux operating systems and keeping fit and healthy.”
Soil Scout’s Chief Technology Officer, Jussi Sirkiä said of the new appointment: “We are delighted to be strengthening our in-house production and development capabilities. In a light and efficient company such as Soil Scout everyone gets to help do everything, so Trung’s duties will also include helping out with every-day operations in our production such as moulding Scout Sensors to packing and shipping. We are pleased that he has extensive experience and knowledge on Linux based systems and he has shown already how much of a keen learner he is, becoming almost immediately familiar with our products and systems.”
