Introducing the new Soil Scout CMO: meet John Cozzi

As part of our continuing growth strategy to penetrate new markets and solidify our position as the leading technology partner for wireless sub soil monitoring solutions we are excited to welcome a new member to our team. Our new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) John Cozzi will head up our marketing efforts, working with partners and customers to drive marketing strategy, build brand awareness, and capture market interest.

With a career spanning several marketing and communication roles across the technology sector, John aims to leverage his experiences working with product-centric growth companies to support Soil Scout’s journey towards scaling. His proven track record in driving growth and elevating brand presence aligns seamlessly with Soil Scout's vision for the future.

Before moving to Finland in 2010, John was born and raised in South Wales. Upon relocating from the UK to Finland, John fell in love with the Helsinki startup scene and the transformative power of technology as a force for sustainable change. This dedication to sustainability was a key driver behind John’s decision to join the Soil Scout team.

"It is a privilege to be able to work with a team, product, and industry where so much positive impact can be made on one of the earth’s key resources – its soil,” says John. "The opportunity to contribute to the growth of a real, Finnish made, physical technology product is incredibly exciting.

“With so much political, social, and environmental change on the horizon, technology partners like Scout Scout have an obligation to help growers and green space custodians navigate the pressures of their industries. From optimising key resources like water and fertilisers to maximising yields, technologies like ours will play a key role in deciding how green our future will be.”

As CMO, John will lead our global marketing effort, focusing on driving our strategy and expanding our reach within our key agriculture and sports turf markets. If you’d like to reach out to John, or learn more about Soil Scout and our advanced soil monitoring solutions, click here.
