The National Fruit Show - a success for Soil Scout

Soil Scout recently exhibited for the first time at The National Fruit Show in Kent. Described as the show ‘by growers for growers’, the event is dedicated to showcasing all that’s new in the British top and soft fruit sector, and it certainly didn't disappoint for Soil Scout’s Agriculture & Horticulture Sales Specialist Lily Nuttall. Lily commented; “there was so much packed into the two days and something for everyone in the fruit sector, it was a very good event for Soil Scout and one I am sure we will be back to attend next year.”

Now in its 89th year, the show was the largest of the decade, with over 80 exhibitors ranging from autonomous systems, robots and drones to a number of soft-fruit exhibitors. This gave us the perfect opportunity to have important conversations with fellow industry associates all under the same roof. Topics of discussion ranged from current trends to how technology and data providers such as Soil Scout can play an important role in shaping the sustainable future of the soft fruit industry.

Lily added; “I was extremely pleased with the outcome of the show. The National Fruit Show brought the British top and soft fruit industry specialists into one place and gave us the platform we needed to introduce ourselves into the market.

“Growth into these sectors has been a huge focus for 2022 and this show gave us that opportunity, it was really great catching up with new and existing customers. I will never get tired of hearing, 'this product is really unique and an ideal solution for our sector’. With the growing concern over drought in the northern hemisphere and environmental restrictions being implemented growers are looking for solutions to these problems and Soil Scout ticks the box in more ways than one.”

Following our successful appearance at The National Fruit Show we look forward to exhibiting at The Vineyard Show on Wednesday 23rd November, this will be another first for Soil Scout and we hope it will be just as successful.
