AgriVenture pitching success for Soil Scout team

Soil Scout is delighted to announce they have won the inaugural Kaski2023 Pitching Competition.

The AgriVenture Finland event attracted more than 260 participants from ten European countries representing startups, SME’s, scaleups, corporations, investors, business angels, developers and universities and educational organisations. The theme of the competition was ‘Start-ups as engines for Sustainable Food & AgriTech Solutions.’

The competition offered the opportunity to present ideas to investors and business angels, as well as potential customers. 38 applicants applied and after a pre-qualification round 23 start-ups were invited to the final event to give their opening pitches. Following a rigorous selection process by the expert jury, led by Annukka Mickelsson, President Emerita at Finnish Business Angels Network FiBAN, the eleven best teams then qualified for the final round.

Soil Scout Sales Director Bahman Doaeian led the pitch and was ably assisted by Chief Science Officer Johannes Tiusanen and Underground Weatherman Miiro Jääskeläinen.

We are thrilled that we won the Kaski2023 pitching competition, and honoured to compete with so many other amazing startups who are working towards the same goal of making our lives more sustainable and efficient through technology.

“We want to thank the organisers, judges, sponsors, and participants for making this event a success. We are looking forward to collaborating with you and creating a positive impact on the world of agriculture.
